Hyper-automation can simply be defined as the application of advanced technologies, including artificial intelligence, RPA and machine learning to significantly increase the automation of processes and achieve outcomes with minimal human indulgence.
To put in simpler words, the most upgraded version of automation is referred to as “Hyper-automation”. It refers to the combination of automation technologies that already exists to increase human capabilities. It takes a group of technologically advanced tools and merge them to construct a replenishing mechanism, where tasks are performed in a way that yield automated outputs.
But enterprises might be in different stages of automation at this point and abruptly replacing the existing legacy solutions cannot be an applicable choice. Also automation across processes and integration has its own level of advancements and upgradation. In order to reach this milestone of hyper-automation, enterprises should begin the process of integrating the existing legacy solutions and must focus on advanced solutions and configurable platforms for centralized operations.
To begin with, enterprises can first focus on transforming the paper documents and files into digital repositories, thereby making information and data available at ease. A smart DMS solution will resolve retrieval issues to a greater extend resulting in lesser TAT. Further, opting for configurable process automation solutions like BPM engines instead of disparate applications will offer centralized solution to upcoming requirements as well. An end-to-end automation can be achieved with integration across all these existing applications. Integrated platforms like CSPs can offer focused content management enabling content syndication across other existing solutions like ERPs, Core-banking solutions, etc.
With these in place, hyper-automation can be triggered at ease across all necessary junctures with Robotic process automation (RPA) , AI, ML for augmented operations. Hyper-automation seeks less or no human intervention when it comes to establishing a work process. This advanced automation holds number of benefits as it interlinks the tools and creates a platform for agile movement of work process. It will be a swiftly laid foundation for businesses that are keen in building business automation with a futuristic view.
